Save $150 instantly on a set of Michelin tires at Costco through September 26, before the winter rush. They do this deal each quarter, but this is likely last one before snow flies. I had a $50 off $500 in my email as well for additional savings (it was expired by one day, but did online chat to get a fresh one)
For my SUV, this Costco deal was $270 cheaper than the "on the rim & out the door" pricing from Tire Rack & Belle tire for the set of Michelin CrossClimate2 tires I just ordered. I chose these Michelins because they are the top rated tire in Consumer Reports and Tire Rack, and the winter traction has the potential to save my life.
Michelin Tires include:
3-Year Roadside Assistance2
Flat Tire Changeout
Free towing up to 150 miles
Fluid delivery (gas, water, etc.)*
Lockout service
Battery jump start

We just put a set of CC2 tires on a Subaru Outback a couple of weeks ago. I had to go in to Costco and have them order them for me because online wouldn't do it.
When I took the car in for installation of the tires they had quite a few sets of 4 CC2s stacked up out by the register waiting to be put on cars. So it appears there's no shortage of CC2s.
So far (only two weeks in) we are very happy with these tires, especially compared to the original Bridgestone Duelers.
I bought mine last month.

Got mine installed. The Michelin $150 discount just started today. File for price adjustment online! Do it now! Just filed mine
but so far no problems on wet roads.
but Why is traction rated B when it handles pretty well in rain?!

If you haven't already done so you might want to go to the Subaru Outback discussion forum and see what they have to say about the CC2 tires. What I saw there helped me decide to get them for our Outback:

I also lived in NE Ohio for most of the '70s. We had some pretty bad winters, so I'm familiar with the snow you can get there.
