Might be usual Razer quality control stuff.
Anyhow, at <60 dollars, wireless, brand name, headset otherwise, I think is a good deal.
My daughter uses these and prefers it over logitech 933's and 633 that she has.
At this price and personal use being good, I'm replacing my other kids 933's with this one.
I've had too many problems with the 933's with cut outs and driver problems.
Personally, half my stuff is micro usb and other half is usb c, so I don't necessarily find this to be a big deal yet, but if it was the only peripheral I had like that, would be very annoying.

this review gives you heat differential for the ultimate, I imagine it would be about the same

So seems liek would be about 5-6 degrees celcius warming which is a big deal if you have sensitive ears.
If you can find out on rtings what your old wireless headset heat differentials were, you could probably dfigure out if this would work out for you or not.
