I had $20 in Walgreens cash on my order, items were reduced so that coupons don't apply, and they don't even tell me if I still qualify for the Walgreen's cash (how much). I don't want to spend more than I have to and get nothing.

Even Kohl's is not so bad. If they don't have the item and need to adjust the order because of their fault, they will still give the Kohl's cash. Has happened a few times to me.

Inaccurate inventory is not the only issue at Walgreens. It happened to me multiple times that right after my order was canceled, I drove to the store and saw plenty of inventory sitting on the shelf. The employees helped me to identify 3 causes: 1) The hand-held device where our orders were pushed to crashes sometimes. After it got rebooted, some orders will remain or re-pushed, but some orders will be automatically cancelled. 2) Sometimes our orders were pushed to the hand-held device, but with no display nor audible ring. Thus no store employee would see the order to fulfill them. After certain period of time, these orders will be automatically cancelled. 3) Some items are located at multiple places in store, the employee may only looked at one place and did not find it.

The only sure way that you can get your store pickup order fulfilled (for better price most likely) is to check the inventory before going, then go to the store, pick up the items, place the online order on your phone, screen shot the order#, and take the items to the photo counter. Wait for a few minutes until the order is pushed to the hand-held device. If the order does not show up after a while, ask the employee to search for the order#. This seems to defeat the purpose of online shopping, but you have to go to store anyway.
