I'm not an expert however I've been looking to purchase a Segway. This is a solid deal however not killer. The only time this was a killer deal is when woot sold it for $500. The reason this version costs a little more is because this one comes with a seat attachment ($79). If you're able to wait I suggest waiting till black Friday.

I believe the original staring price of the MAX LP was $699. Not sure why they use the name MAX in this LP version since you lose the main advantage of the original scooter, max range.
Here is a review of it compare to original MAX. Just look at the range numbers.

you still get max speed. you will just have less mileage. note: I have a segway es4-800 and used to wait 260lbs.
