Yeah. According to Best Buy, this model was released in 2020. The 2021 model uses Intel 11th gen chip.

It is eMMC not SSD, essentially the same as using a flash media card, but not removable.

Same link, just change the CPU in the first drop down to i5 to see the model with the higher specs. The model I like is not on sale right now but it should be $429 when it is.

Thanks for catching that. The 128GB is SSD but I this 64GB is eMMC.

Might help battery life a bit, but it is also a large sacrifice of drive performance, and not upgradable.

Since I've bene watching, I believe BestBuy has had a one-day sale on the 8/128 model three times. I snagged an "open box" version during the last one for $260 that looked new. Very happy with it. It also is/was? $389 via Acer's eBay store last week with a promo code for a refurb (w/ 2yr warranty). A frequent SD post.

Hmm I will look out for that, the i5 model is better but Ill see if the i3 is enough for me and I can return it.

This is definitely the "lower-spec" version of premium Chromebook series, but the i3 still manages to possess more horsepower than the "average" Chromebook. This should provide a solid user experience for a large spectrum of Chromebook users.
