I was told by a phone CS agent that if I pay off the remaining balance, I would lose the monthly device credit.
My question is, in my situation, can I still take advantage of this offer, meaning upgrade to iPhone 13 and get a new (iPhone 13) device credit added to my existing (iPhone 12) device credit? I asked the question to the agent, but she advised me to visit a store.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

wanted to upgrade a iPhone 8 to iPhone 13 that is on SWAC, but already has a Monthly plan for a Galaxy S20 FE I had scored last year (on the same line as the iPhone 8).
Customer service said could not be done, because there already was a monthly payment plan active, had me talk to Sales to see if they could do anything.
Long story short, traded in my refurbished iphone 8 (got it from previous SD deal) for $600.
The Sales person insisted that she cannot take off the $15/month iphone protection plan, and that i will have to call and cancel after i receive the new iphone 13.
Should be no change in plan, but wont trust it until i have the phone on hand and can activate it with messing up my current plan(s).
Will see if I can do it also on my Free on us line, but will wait till i get my phone on Friday.
Coincidentally, I logged into my wife's identical SERO account yesterday and the upgrade loaded. I was able to do the same thing in 5 minutes and deny the extra coverage. The phone rep also said he waived the $30 activation fee so I assume I will get stuck with that on my wife's upgrade which is fine but we'll see. I look at it like I paid the $30 to do the upgrade in 5 minutes online for my wife's account which took a 45 minute phone call for identical upgrade on my account where activation fee was waived.
Log into your account and check if your still on the same plan.
Phone financing contracts were identical too.
$400 for the iPhone SE2

Whenever I'm bored , I always chat with Sprint agent and get some administrative fee waived, almost every other month.

Anyone else?
Just activate the phone you want to trade in on your lane first, you can do that online.
You will get the same trade in value for an iPhone 7 as for the iPhone 8. ( iPhone 8 has a higher resale value)
The confirmation order email from sprint read
…….." Use your return kit to send back the lease giveback or trade-in devices listed below:
BYOSD IP 7 ROS 128 SGL xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
So definitely phone model, color ,storage and imie has to match what you are sending in.
In my case it was iPhone 7 Rose 128Gb.

Total payments (at end of finance): $122 (S20+ last payment & iPhone taxes) + $300 = $422 for a $1100 iPhone. Not bad in IMO. Though, going to miss the Android ecosystem.
