Tried to sell a ps4 pro on the popular auction site and i went through 4 or so relistings only to sell for something like 250 shipped. They also took their their cut and.... yeah this doesn't seem like a bad deal at all. Wish I had not gone the auction route tbh.
At the store they told me 5+ years. So hopefully I'll be able to land a PS5 by then!
Traded my X, S and pro for $715 credit over the weekend when I saw the trade in go up. Great deal!

I am thinking of going in again tomorrow to trade an Xbox One controller. Do they ask for anything besides the controller itself, such as battery or USB cable?

Maybe the cable that would've come with the controller. But I don't know if Xbox One controllers, when bought separately, came with their own cable.
Good thing I traded mines in yesterday, because they did have PS5's today.
They had a huge stock of PS5's today, almost 50 per store, and this was a store in a fairly remote suburb. About 18 people lined up, and they told us that we would all be taken care of, and they would be the $500 disc version.
unfortunately, the problem with Gamestop is that they will force a bundle on you, and its an additional $205 on top of the console, so $705 total. And that's BEFORE taxes, so you are looking at around $760.
They're making you buy a second Dualsense controller, paying the full $60 for a one-year Playstation Plus subscription, and paying for a $75 Gamestop gift card.
As tough as that is to swallow, if you are buying it for kids, you probably would've bought the second controller anyway, and you were probably going to spend money to get them a game for Christmas anyways, so you can use the $75 gift card.
After applying my trade-in credit, and since I signed up as a Power pro member yesterday, they gave me a $5 monthly coupon that I had to use before the month of september was over. After applying all of that, it came out to be about $440.
Still tough to swallow, but I was buying it for my nephew, and my brother said he will help pay for most of those costs.
I mean, the trade-in credit at Gamestop basically limits where one can buy a PS5, so think about that when you trade in your PS4pro. I hear that they also do forced bundles on their website, as well. But if you already know you want a PS5, then there is little to no reason to be holding onto a PS4, so you might as well trade it in.

Just needed the controller, nothing else. They gave me $48, which is amazing for a controller that I no longer use and got years ago with teh Oculus Rift!

That overpriced bundle is essentially why I'm not going to do this trade-in. I could wait probably 2 years for them to sell just the console, but that's 2 years of no gaming.
I just traded in a ps pro I got in 2017 for $350 brand new on ebay with a decent controller and 2 pretty beat up ones for $391 in credit. Bought a $200 Steam Wallet Card to cover half of a steamdeck in two months... Sick!
Although I could have sold the ps4 pro that I have in mint condition/cib, I opted for this. Hate selling things on Facebook (people haggling price, not knowing who you're going to deal with, hearing the same questions asked when you have the answers already on description/photos). Also, was surprised I got $27.20 for the old version PS4 camera. Thought it was going to be worthless. So, that boosted the sale price alone. Sold 8 games, camera, and pro and got $403. Will prob save my credit for a psvr 2 when it comes out around next year or so.
Still have my PS3 backwards compatible console. Wish I could have sold that too at GameStop for 300+.
