Quality varies quite a bit. The base ingredients are similar, but most of the locations are franchises, and corporate doesn't seem to be super fussy about uniformity of food. Things like mixing the sauce correctly and cooking the right amount of time make a big difference. Also, hot-n-ready means that lazy store managers might let them sit in the heat rack for too long, which absolutely can dry them out.

If you've never been excited about being able to buy a 5 dollar pizza, then count yourself lucky. I've had multiple times in my life where it absolutely made my day to get one of these, and there could be again.

More companies should think this way instead of just complaining about their costs going up.

It's hit or miss depending on the store. I have ordered deep dish with extra cheese that was glorious with cheese gushing over the sides and baked to perfection. Other times it was as you describe. Same with Domino's - my local Domino's is awful, but elsewhere they are good.

There was a time, in college, that despite working three jobs, the only things I could afford was things like this, Mickey D's dollar menu, instant ramen noodles, etc. I know it wasn't healthy, you know why I did it? The round stuffed crust never went away as far as I know, I think the deep dish stuffed crust may have gone. Just got a stuffed crust last week!

They also give you a Crazy Sauce with it, which normally costs $1.50 to add on (yes, I'm sure the sauce probably costs them eight cents plus three cents for the tub...)
