Yes, but that deal can't be posted on SlickDeals because it's a 3rdparty seller with less than 1000 feedback. The rules don't allow those to be posted here, regardless of whether the seller is the manufacturer or not. I've been told by the moderation staff that the application of this rule is a a private matter and is not to be discussed in the Hot Deals forum, so if there is any concern about the rule, we should take it to Deal Talk or one of the appropriate forums.
It's a nice to have and is probably a savior to some, but I've soured a bit on the company after they've introduced this subscription plan. Allegedly, I'm grandfathered into their "detailed" data and AI stuff, but it's the same data that was available prior to their subscription model, so just an annoying money grab IMO.
Setup is surprisingly easy and is seemingly very accurate. Guess overall it's recommended if you're seriously worried about leaks, but you're going to get a lesser product than it was prior to the subscription, or pay more in their subscription to get access to their data metrics.

I signed up for the annual Insight service too. I don't get these people calling it morally objectionable or a "money grab" for a company to ask the customer to pay for a service? Surely, as a cloud based application, they must have costs associated with providing that service?
Do i wish it was "free" (included in the purchase of the hardware) - sure I do. But I am willing to pay $4 month for the enhanced detail of the data. YMMV.

Otherwise, their subscription is just taking the raw data and giving you full access to read the data read by YOUR device YOU paid $120 for. I don't even mean to sound like a detractor of it as I'm an active user of it, but I'm just providing an FYI people that they're paying more for less. I definitely would NOT be a happy user for the product if I had to pay money to the rather basic information their subscription model provides.
Just would like to say at the end of the day this is a basic sensor that detects flow rate of your water meter. Something that even at $120 or its previous $170 price is more than reasonable just for the basic sensor hardware. Give me a break if you think "compiling" that raw data into various convenient formats if worthy of a subscription price.
My mother had an old "analog" (as in, dials like an old school odometer) water meter for years and they'd have to "honor system" record the number every quarter. Well, it broke and didn't move. After 3 or 4 months of trying to do the right thing and repeatedly tell the town that the meter was broken (and not that they hadn't been using ANY water at all), they just stopped and got free water for many years until the town did a town-wide upgrade to remote monitoring.

I believe they removed one of the two standard alerts late last month, for everyone, when they introduced their Flume Insight Subscription Service leaving only the standard alert that defaults to "Notify me if water is running constantly for 2 hours and 0 minutes". Unfortunately, this same alert also states "This rule is smart enough to filter out common events such as long lasting irrigation cycles", whatever that means. I wonder if it thought your leaking toilet was a long lasting irrigation cycle. Thankfully my Custom Alerts are still there. Oh, and for anyone who doesn't know yet, they axed SMS alerts in July.

Nest cameras, Garage door openers, alarm systems, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, YouTube Tv, Spotify, HBO Max, Disney +. Tesla Premium, cellular service, Xbox Gold, internet service. Last thing I need is another monthly bill for something as simple as this.
