The 4 level in the picture is very poorly designed. The fabric next to the scratching posts comes apart easily, this was apparent within 2 days. I would avoid any of that design.

most of these are for normal size cats.. i have 3 bengals (12lbs-17lbs in weight) and the biggest one tries to lay on the tree and his butt hangs off (lol!). Im sure your maine coon is probably more around 17-22lbs.

When you look at the size of the platforms, you want at least 17".

These always seem to be made for kittens and tiny cats, full grown regular size cats look ridiculous on most of them.

Thanks, finally decided to buy one of these trees to replaced simple ones that I built a long time ago. As for size for larger cats, you'll be surprised. I have pretty big cat and she somehow manages to fit on tiniest platforms which are half her size. And she's sleeping on them like it's the most comfortable thing ever Smilie

I forget who the merchant was, but a while back there was a deal for cat trees posted and they just photoshopped the same 3 or 4 cats onto the cat trees - it was worse than useless for sizing them up but was kind of funny.

Mine is 18 pounds and loves her cat tree, same as the 56" one here. Goes in and out of the little condo and sleeps just fine on the platforms.
