Where it states quite clearly that shipping is non-taxable in the state, based on the conditions of the sale (separately charged shipping, in the state example matches what Olight is doing, separately, so there is no tax on the shipping but they're charging it anyway). I expect a reply from them as well as a refund for the overcharge. Oddly, last November when they had a similar promo going on, they didn't charge tax on the shipping.
This is a quote from the state tax page referenced above:
"Delivery chargesYou have the property delivered directly to your customer using a common carrier, the U.S. Mail, or an independent contractor
Tax does not apply to the delivery charges under these conditions if the charges are clearly stated as a separate entry on the invoice or other bill of sale. If the delivery charges are not stated separately, they are taxable.

don't get me wrong, their other lights are good too, but most have proprietary charging and are overpriced. I'll stick with my standard 18650 lights (or similar)
I like to read and learn, and this overcharge sticks in my craw, as it's already bad enough with the taxes we pay here in CA, I sure don't want to pay a tax I'm not even supposed to be paying.
Believe it or not, back in 2013 when my mom died in Florida, I had to be the executor of her estate, which I had zero knowledge of how to do. So the day I flew in to the state, I downloaded the entire Probate Tax website and spent all night reading every word. I learned a lot, in fact, more than the lawyer I was forced to hire to do the Probate (FL won't let you adjudicate the estate as a private person, you MUST hire a lawyer by state law). Long story short, I had to educate him on finer points of the law in order to get it done.
So this particular subject, about state taxes, is very clear and direct. They are simply not supposed to be charging the tax, and yet they are doing it. I'll try to post back when I get a reply from them about this issue. I think I threw them for a loop, because I noticed something they weren't paying attention to.
Got an i1R 2 EOS for $5 and it didn't even last a year.
The charging port broke.
It couldn't handle the continuous unplug and replug to recharge.
Else, the light is very bright for small flash light.

They have an incentive to not tax shipping, so as to reduce the customer cost, and not aggravate people, but it is legal, if it works as Massachusetts does.
