I have no idea what a mechanic does to take a tire off, but would much prefer if they would use hand tools. I've never had to use a breaker bar to take off a lug nut, to me that would indicate the nut was on FAR too tight, and would most likely end up marring the lug nut or taking the lug post clean off the hub, if they are attached. A simple ratchet, and one socket from a collection you already have, should do the trick. You don't buy this set to take off lug nuts, you buy it if you need other stuff from it I guess. Or just don't buy it because it's marketed to make it seem like you need all this to take off or put on a wheel. For the record I've never used a torque wrench when putting a lug nut on, that's kind of silly. Like using a GPS to get to the nearby corner bodega.
Lug nuts that come off easily with a standard 1/2" ratchet (maybe 10" long?) are likely not torqued properly. Usually around 75-80 ft/lbs for steel wheels and 95-100 ft/lbs for aluminum wheels on most passenger vehicles. A half ton pickup truck can have wheel nuts torqued to 140+ ft/lbs.
I highly recommend torquing a critical fastener like a lug nut to proper specifications.
with this set, all you'd need is a jack, and you could open up your very own tire changing business, just sayin its a little much for one car.....
The torque wrench is also useful for replacing spark plugs since they need to be tightened to a certain degree.
Sure the stuff you need this set for is not numerous but if you or your family have several vehicles then it's worth having the set. It's not something you'll use everyday but then again most tools aren't.

you'll need a different torque wrench for plugs, they're usually 10 to 20 lb ft of torque, not 50 to 250.....

Maybe stop guessing and listen to people who actually work on cars such as myself.
Take a tire off, they use an impact. Put on, it depends on a shop.
This is a good set for tires and more. Do some research if you want to know more. Not gonna bother educating you anymore as you seem to be one who shouldn't be working on cars.
And I would think that anybody that works on cars has all those sockets already....auto tech 40yrs...
Question, 40 years ago, did your tools fall from the sky or did you have to buy some or all? Follow up question, did you buy one socket at a time or buy a kit?
I bought the huskey one which was on sale months ago. That is also made by gearwrench I guess not sure. Anyway that was cheaper at I think close to 50 and is doing great! You may get similar price again if wait

most of my sockets came in sets, a few specialty ones I purchased seperately. but in no way does this kit include a socket set, and you'll need a lot more sockets than this if you want to work on cars, great if all you want to do is change all kinds of tires
