If you need to air up a tire in the field, but you don't(or can't) want to lug an air compressor out there. It can come in handy, but you do need an air compressor to charge it up. This is just for transport, and storage of compressed air.

For me, this is a perfect time saver for using air nailers (trim, etc) in my house instead of having to lug my large compressor out of the garage and leading a long air line through a door or window

This would make an excellent little forge for knife making. At $10 it's probably better than cutting up a propane tank.

Darn, none of these in my area. I always take a tank of air with me when I bring my trailer to pick up a non running car or motorcycle.

Do I need this?

I have a small electric air compressor that's loud as hell and annoying to plug in and fill up car tires etc without waking the entire neighborhood.

Could I fill this with my electric and then have an easy quiet air source for small jobs?

The "out of the box" case is that you connect it to an air-compressor, get it to full pressure then you top-off tires on vehicles that are out of your compressor's hose reach.

Other uses could be using it as an aux or extender tank for a smaller compressor: i.e. if you have a 2-3 gallon compressor, you will soon realize that most air-tools (not even high flow impact wrenches) will out-pace the compressor pump. A larger tank gives your compressor some "buffer" to work with.

Does helium leak out faster than air? I would expect the amount of weight reduction from 2 MTB tires filled would be like a dozen kids balloons, maybe enough to lift a Clif bar or 2?

Ordered the only one available in my area and promptly got a phone call saying it was a clearance item and they don't have it. Bought using PayPal so my guess is they didn't know it went on clearance and when they got the pick up order they cancelled it and bought it for themselves.

After you put your hard earned coins into air machine to fill one tire, you still have few more minutes of air coming out. Why waste. Use this to capture and reuse later. I know we are all cheap basters here.
