There is a third option that falls somewhere between pants that look like they are too small for you and pants that are so loose they are falling off…. How about we just wear pants that fit properly!

That's honesty very subjective lol. I personally find slim fits to fit me very properly as you stated - skinny literally don't allow me to breathe down there and baggy pants are simply too big and disgusting. Again, very subjective / preference.
