Do you know if the lines can be downgraded to the $20 voice only and still be eligible for the shop cards?

They started charging earlier this year. I first heard about it in May/June.

It depends on the rep at the kiosk, some people have been successful to do so, while i did read some with a different experience. best is to go and check it out at your store if not go to a different store and try there.

It seems like now the kiosk is being charged for each sim card, so instead of them bearing the cost it is being passed on to the customer. Thats is the reply given by the rep at the kiosk.

If the rep is helpful you can activate with $20 plan which is call and text only, no data if you need data go with essentials plan.

So it will not work to activate a line, get the GC and then cancel?
Or these are applied only to devices purchased with the plan?

T-Mobile Early Termination
T-Mobile gives all customers a 14 day* (from date of purchase) trial period to try out the phone and T-Mobile service without incurring an early termination fee. If the service is canceled after the 14 day trial period, T-Mobile will charge the subscriber an early termination fee per line of service as follows:
*For California customers there is 30 day (from date of purchase) trial period to try out the phone and T-Mobile service without incurring an early termination fee.
$200.00 if service is canceled with more than 180 days remaining on the term
$100.00 if service is canceled with 91 to 180 days remaining on the term
$50.00 if service is canceled with 31 to 90 days remaining on the term
$50.00 or the monthly recurring charges, whichever is less, if service is canceled within the last 30 days of the term

Early termination of what? I thought there is no contract, so no term with t-mobile?

Anyone has a Magenta plan and already added two lines to their account?

If I add two lines to my existing Magenta plan, will my bill increase (20*2) = $40 + tax/mon?

Thanks!
