Living on the water in Florida is a dream state compared to much of the country, especially the big cities. I don't miss it for anything. And yes, humidity here can get insane but having a stunning sunset virtually every day and a beautiful morning with clean air, snow white beaches, weather warm enough to go swimming during Christmas.
There's a few reasons why so many people are moving to the state beyond us not having insane taxes. Even our road systems compared to much of up north (At least my city area) is vastly better. They keep it spotless, even the highways. And everywhere you go, its just lush with beauty.
When I was young I saw big cities up north as a "Wow cool" factor but now as an more mature adult, I wouldn't switch this up for anything. Not to mention I can drive just a bit to see a rocket launch or go to one of many world famous theme parks.
What most of us do is we travel when we want to see snow or mountains because again, we arent taxed to death so traveling is very realistic. Most go to Tennessee, some of us go further north or out west so we still see winters, its just that its on our terms. Otherwise, warm weather year round. Swim when you like, go sailing, sport fishing, etc.
Florida FTW.. never thought I'd say that. And yes, we even have Florida Man himself.
