Confused I don't think so. I also posted this laptop in white, not charcoal. Not a duplicate: different price (lower price) and no rebate option. Search reveals no duplicate.

This is about all these specs are worth.

Decent "deal", but I highly recommend looking for AMD processors. They are usually cheaper, better on battery and have more cores.

One year ago,I would have totally agreed with you, before gen 11 Intel, but now it's a toss up based on my needs. 11 gen Intel have superior integrated graphics so it's cores (AMD) vs graphics (Intel), and base clock speeds are generally faster with Intel which helpful with some programs. Having the new Intel XE graphics could be the difference between being able to play a few games or not. I thought the EVO platform (only available with Intel) was just marketing nonsense, but it actually has some nice points: The battery life on these unit is more than enough for me, so that's not an issue. Plus, Thunderbolt could be an advantage for some, like if they use a dock or hub to connect to multiple devices/monitors?

Also, please note that intel makes great use of faster LPDDR4X RAM for their integrated graphics.

Not really on these quad core processors.

Ultimately, it depends what kind of work you are doing.

Also, this shouldn't be your choice if you're wanting to game. Pretty low end (amd also). Plus, I've watched a bunch of videos comparing AMD and Intel igpus and intel may be be "faster" (barely), but the drivers are lacking and have lots of graphics errors.

See my comment above.

Thunderbolt would be the only sacrifice going with AMD Ryzen chips… but with hdmi, displayports and usb c, you can still connect to multiple accessories and monitors. Thunderbolt is nester though for the small majority that will ever use them.

Relatively speaking, doesn't AMD get the same grief compared to Nvidia on graphics drivers?

I know, but don't they have the same problems with one big driver package?
