What's the layout tool used for? Couldn't see it demonstrated in any pics or in a few YouTube videos. Tia

Edit: Looks like it's used for things like measuring/replicating unsquare/off cuts and quickly marking cuts like you would do on stair risers.

Good deal. Lowes has the same price $8.17. Ordered from Lowes as I have their GC I bought with 10% off and they offer 2.5% CB.

Yeah, I have 4 Lowes stores within 30 minutes of my house, and they all had a different price for this square. I was lucky that one of them had it for $5.07 (the highest was $11.17). I bought the $5.07 one that had a free store pickup in 3-7 days.

not sure if i need one this big. i guess its good for cutting rafters when building a house. i already have a milwaukee 7 and 4 inch set that i bought some time ago for the same price as this.
