It does not exclude preorders or Sony 1st party games, at least for right now. I just preordered Horizon Forbidden West for PS5 for $39.xx after the discount. This is a great deal.

Talked to 2 different agents regarding this deal. One said it would eventually appear on my account and another downright denied the deal existed. Either way, I wasn't offered the 40% only 10% off for the confusion.

Update: Now I was told if I don't have the coupon, they can't help me.

Thank you for the heads up about the coupon. It was in my account and was able to pick up 3 switch games for my daughters birthday. Unfortunately, it wouldn't work on the new Pokemon pre-order game she wanted.

It's unfortunate that it didn't work for you. I guess it really depends on the rep that's helping you out. I was very nice and patient with my rep and they refunded my order with %40 off.
