Can I use this in Oklahoma?
Yes you can. They are also frost tolerant so don't worry about them dying when you get snow during winter.

Can I save them for next fall?
I wouldn't suggest that. I planted 2 year old Scotts grass seed that was in a sealed bag and got zero grass seed to germinate. I don't think that most grass seed germinates very well if it is over 1 year old.

There is tall fescue seed in this mix. This product contains 15% 4th Millennium Tall Fescue, 15% Duration Tall Fescue, 15% Endeavor II Tall Fescue, 5% Wendy Jean Fine Fescue, and 50% WaterSmart Plus Coating (Zeba water absorbent coating with fertilizer and fungicide). The types and breakdowns of seeds can change throughout the year due to availability.

If anyone wants to go full nerd

I got 50lb of 4th millennium for about $233

Scotts wants about 4x to mix a seed coating and instructions just be careful on if you need to overseed or renovate because your amounts won't add up; technically you need to seed 50% more on scotts since theirs is heavier if you want dense turf which means you needs to buy 50% more

Note that this is not good for northern states. Good deal for others.
I beg to differ. I live in North Dakota and just got done spraying the hardy sh** with Roundup. It will very much grow around here and spread as well. They sell it on our stores around here or mix with other "high traffic" blends. Its very thick, bladed patchy grass that looks tacky in blue grass and fescues.

What's up with West Virginia on the transition zone map?
Grass doesn't grow where burnt couches have damaged the turf.

I picked up a bunch of clearance stuff at the Highlands Ranch location. I am assuming that all the Walmarts are clearing out their stuff to setup their Christmas sections. I also had much better luck using the Pennington dense shade grass seed in my yard. I planted a bunch 2 or 3 weeks ago under a big maple tree and have plenty of new growth.

Where would you find a reputable distributor for tall fescue in California?

Some dense shade mixes contain fine/hard/red fescue. If you are spraying tenacity during seeding, note that it will affect the germination of these grass types. Also, I did not know this for the longest time but big box grass seeds have a lot of filler, seed coatings, etc that make up a significant portion of the weight sold to you. If you look at the coverage area, it is almost half of uncoated seed. Hope this helps someone.

Word of advice: do not store these bags as is, especially in a shed. Mice will find them. Ask me how I know.

I recommend storing in a plastic bin. I also keep any leftover in my basement now

After a pool install, it needed to put seed down on my entire back yard. After pricing both, I decided to rototill the area and put sod down. Mich easier and faster thicker results. Did 2000 sq ft for $550 . Sod delivered to my house on 4 skids.

Would this work well for patches in fescue that have died due to full afternoon sun ?

If i toil up the dirt, spread and water well ?

or should I go for something like this

https://www.amazon.com/Scotts-Pat...970&sr=8-5

thanks for help !
