I'm using some 530's on my desk, and personally would've gone with a set of 570's if I had the space. I Like these 530s, but I always lean toward the tower version of any speaker lines I've demoed. That being said, I still really like my 530's for the money. IMO if you feel like you're missing low end, you'd be better off putting the $400 towards a sub and keeping your 530's. One thing I've heard that has kept me from going too wild in my speaker journey, is to not buy a set of speakers/components that are a side-grade. There won't be that much difference vs only putting money into things that are upgrades to parts of your system, which will gradually bring your overall system level up.

If you plan to put 530's or any bookshelf on a stand you might as well just get the tower version. Some people really get fixated on having bookshelves and make this mistake for a variety of reasons , myself included.

Any suggestions on a way to raise them? I don't want it to look janky as it'll be in the family room.

I just got a pair of these last time they dropped this low, they are adorable, smaller versions of my 590s and in a small room still do great for music. Might need a sub for movies if you desire that- but most people will be happy with a pair of these shaming most every sound bar out there. I have them hooked to the aux out on a 'meh' TV via an SMSL Q5 Pro ('meh' amp) and they still sound great.

Do people have thoughts on how these compare to the 530s on stands, as front LR speakers? That's my current setup.

Yes, but these are short mini towers that should be raised up anyway.

THIS. Look at the measurements if you think you can leave these free standing. Like another user said, you might be better off grabbing the 530's on sale and picking up a sub to handle low end.

For $400 a pair, these 570s are a steal. If you think they are a bit too short, you can raise them up a bit pretty easily.

Thanks. I have the Studio 5xx sub already. I looked at pictures of these 570s and they are super short, so I would need new stands anyway.
I'll skip these.

These speakers are 35 inches tall which puts the tweeter very close to ear level when seated depending on your setup. It's almost perfect for mine.

The cheapest option would be to make a stand out of blocks of wood and paint it black to match. You can buy speakers stands but they are kind of expensive and probably defeat the purpose of buying budget speakers.

The 570s definitely punch above their price class, ESPECIALLY at $199 each.

Honestly, if you enjoy music enough to use vinyl, CDs or Flac files you should really look into pre-owned, higher end speakers (or you just want something higher quality that's resell able...I see people pretty much have to give away speakers like polk/jbl/infinity). Paradigm, B&W, Monitor Audio, NHT...I've seen pairs and 5.1 sets of many nice brands listed on offerup, craigslist, marketplace, even use ebay and set to local pickup at a distance drivable to you.
