They need to make a 43" model for like $700. Would be killer gaming monitor.

Is this the best bang for the buck TV this year at this price for 65"?
Depends what you want…

TCL and Hisence runs budget friendly segment.

LG makes good OLED. Crappy interface imo. Nanocell is horrible.

Sony has accurate color all across the. Product line. Expensive, but great color out of box

Samsung also make some good tv

Rtings.com has different list for different need.

This TV is rated high.

Vizio M series deserves a mention along with TCL and Hisense for budget TVs

Nice deal! I got this tv through a friend that works at BB and this was the F&F discount price.

Pros: super bright, great colors and black levels

Cons: blooming is there at times, random ghosting (even after updated and the up four times fix)

Replaced a Panasonic 65ST60 that moved to the bedroom. Overall a good buy for this price
How do the black levels compare to your Panasonic 60ST60 at night with all of the lights off? I believe I have a Panasonic GT50 (just one model level difference but a year older than yours) but I'm hesitant to switch because aside from OLED, I'm afraid of downgrading my black levels specifically. I mainly use the TV to watch movies at night so black level is a huge factor for me.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Guys, if you get this, make sure to register the TV within 14 days of receipt. One of the terms for 100 days trial seem to require you to register the TV in order to be able to exercise your 100 days return right. They also pay you back with visa prepaid or paypal it seems...

Price looks great and very tempting though.

You need hdmi 2.1 to be able to run 4k @ 120 frames per second.

If you're good with 4k at 60fps, or 1440p at 120fps, then the hdmi 2.1+ requirement isn't there.

That being said, I'm not familiar with this TV to know if it's hdmi 2.0 or 2.1

I would also say, that you don't *need* it for ps5, just to get the most out of it. some of the models I've looked at that appear to check all the boxes are the LG C1 series, and the Sony A90J series

It has hdmi 2.1 and is considered as a very good gamming TV. Only draw back is the biggest one is only 65 inch..don't know why they cannot provide a 75inch version.

I owned Vizio and I loved it.

Vizio give you most features for the buck. HDR, Local Dimming, etc... according to youtube videos, if you don't mind tinkering... you get most things to tinker with.

I didn't mentioned it because QC on Vizio tend to very panel to panel, and Vizio tend to have short life span ( 50% off after 6 months.. they have their own pricing structure )

I figured for the most people, Hisence and TCL is more of set it and forget it set up.

but if you are not picky, These are good value. in LED TV>

Just make sure you buy any of budget brand from Bestbuy so you can return it if you get a bad dud.

Hisence's 100 day return policy is interesting.

One other little knock on this tv is that it does not have an ATSC 3.0 tuner (Nextgen TV) for streaming 4k OTA. Only matters if you ever plan on using an antennae for free TV and if/when Nextgen tv is available in your area.

I think people see the Hisense name and associate this TV with their low end TVs. This is one step below their flagship.

Both Hisense and TCL are doing a lot of innovation in panel technology while Samsung, Sony, LG and even Vizio to some degree are living off of old R&D.

I won't argue that you can't get good TVs from these brands, but at the $1000 price point TCL and Hisense are kicking their asses in terms of bang for your buck.

It appears to be a marketing decision to help sell their higher end U9DG model.
Their best model only comes in the 75" size.
