Skip Silent Hill HD Collection. It's a bad port that used older beta builds of Silent Hill 2 and 3 as its base because they lost the original source code. While a patch was eventually released for PS3 that help alleviate some of the technical issues, 360 never received such a patch.

This is all true, but at the same time they are still great games. If you already have an xbox and don't care to track down a ps2 and those versions or bother trying to get the pc versions patched and running right, this is a dirt cheap way to play these classics, even if in a diminished state.

I see this all the time and feel like it's really exasperated by gatekeeping andys that think the only way to play the game is in the form them deem acceptable. If you've already played these, then you'll probably be disappointed by the port, but if you haven't played these games before this is still worth picking up. I just got through silent hill 2 for the first time and felt like the game held up really well. I had someone convince not to buy it years ago by this same argument, and I regret them having this influence as it was worth the purchase.

It's only available on the disc version of MGS HD collection. They sell the digital game separately for some odd reason

Just wait until you tey RetroArch and Duckstation on XB1/XB Series consoles. 4K @ 60FPS Chrono Cross anyone? XB playing PS1, PS2 backwards compatible before our PS4 and PS5, they're still only ltd to the PSN ports.

Your talking about the game running on 360 hardware…this game is backwards compatible unlike most of Sony's games…digital foundry made a video about the game running on Xbox one x n said most technical issues like frame rate fixed…now it's way better on series s n x.
