Skip Silent Hill HD Collection. It's a bad port that used older beta builds of Silent Hill 2 and 3 as its base because they lost the original source code. While a patch was eventually released for PS3 that help alleviate some of the technical issues, 360 never received such a patch.
Mgs HD collection is a great price.
Pretty wild that if I want to play earlier MGS entries this gen I have to play on xbox.

Here's the issue with this argument. First, this is not what gatekeeping is. It isn't bad to point out how poor a product is and anything else is apologist on behalf of the corp. Capcom did not put the budget behind this that it deserved, rushed an incomplete product out the door, and expected everyone to thank them. No one is saying you CAN'T enjoy the game, but it is absolutely relevant to point out that there are other ways where the game can be played where it is given in a form that doesn't harm the intended presentation.
To use an analogy here, it's like the Louvre sold you tickets to see an exhibit of enhanced paintings, but after you've paid and went to the exhibit you realize that it's actually a bunch of poor recreations of the original work, blown up without upscaling, and displayed on bad monitors. It was sold to you as this enhanced experience, but what you got was something far below that. You can still possibly enjoy this experience, but it is hampered a bit by the fact that you were lied to. In the end, you still got to see the paintings you wanted to see, but was it how the artwork could have been best presented to you?
EDIT: Also they changed the voice actor! The entire performance is completely different than what they wanted it to be. There's a specific feeling that you get from the original voice acting that you just cannot get from this new voice actor.
Can you link me to this video from DF, because I have never seen them do this.
For silent hill 2 you have the option to use the original voices. Not for 3 tho
Yea I'm not saying it's the best game running on Xbox one x n up but I think it's worth $7.50 if a person hasn't experienced the originals. Honestly would be better at the mgs hd price of $5 I think that's what I bought mine for digitally 2 years ago.
Wouldn't buy it to play it on 360 or the vcr Xbox one tho

I patched them and ran them on my PC and it was a great option but halfway through 2 the difficulty changed on its own so that was a bit of a bummer.
The game still deserves a better port to this day.

Wow, I cannot believe this is possible in this day and age. How could they not have the Final Cut?

How do you tell if the game works on Xbox 360 or not? The system requirements just say Xbox one and Xbox Series but the games cover page shows Xbox 360.
These digital Xbox 360 games are from the Xbox One's backward compatibility list specifically made available for Xbox one consoles, so it won't work on your Xbox 360 consoles.

That's not true at all. If it says x360 it will play on x360

If the game cover shows it as an Xbox 360 game then it will work on an Xbox 360.
If you log into your Xbox 360 and browse the game store you will see it listed at the sale price.
Alternatively, you can buy it from the web on your PC and then the next time you use your Xbox 360 you can download it from your Settings > Account > Download History.

Thanks for the comments. The only one I was considering was Silent Hill, but I don't want to play a half-bummed cash-grab.

Isn't it crazy how often this happened? FF7 -> PC was the exact same issue, Halo CE had a crappy PC port that has continued to be used all the way up into MCC. Big titles that did really well, kind of blows my mind you'd lose the code.
Yep. You would think they would use some kind of source control.
