Don't know if the game is worth it, as you have to buy something to get the "free" game, but it just so happens that https://store.focus-entmt.com/us/...ployee-kit is $0.63 when you sign up for a Focus account and then the game adds for free. Cheapest filler and (I think) actually goes with the "free" game.

This is the store of the game's actual publisher.

They should probably change the price from free to 60 cents. You buy a 60 cent DLC for the game and get the game for free.

Might play it again on PS4. This game is pretty good. Part 2 was disappointing.

They're not sent to you. You can get them in your order history on the store page.
I looked in my order history and it's not even pending. How long does it take? -Edit: Apparently 15 minutes!

I was the opposite, couldn't quite get into the first one (but for 63 cents I'll try again) but I loved the second. I felt like they continue to improve with each game.

I'm the opposite. I thought this one was only ok, but the second was really good. The second one has higher review scores, all around, too.

Yeah. The second is a lot better. This is first time I've seen someone say they preferred the first.

Like other Soulsborne games, this one won't satisfy people who dislike the genre, but I loved The Surge (and its sequel). No, they aren't as top-notch as Sekiro or other FROM Software games, but don't let that turn you off one bit. This is because, in addition to the sci-fi setting and dismemberment mechanic, the developers at Deck13 definitely put a lot of their own soul into the game and I felt it in lots of little touches.

Also, for you completionists/achievement hunters, the 63¢ "CREO Special Employee Kit" is truly useful, so don't fret that you have to make the purchase. It normally sells for ~99¢ on Steam and is worth buying IMO. It includes a "sensor" item (I forget what it's actually called) that emits an audible beep that helps you find secrets and items. There is no other way to get this item, either.

I don't recall the rest of the goodies in that dlc being important, but it's been a couple years since I played.

Lastly, make sure to also snap up the other two freebie dlc. Free is good right?

I can't remember if I preferred one over the other, but the two Suge games were simultaneously similar AND different enough that they remind me of other pairings like Batman Arkham Asylum vs City (I preferred the first), or Bloodborne vs Dark Souls (I loved both, impossible for me to pick).

I've been playing this on my PS4 since it was free for PS+, while waiting to get a ps5 some day. I don't like horror games or stuff with jump scares, like souls, but it's minimal enough to still want to keep playing. It's a pretty good game, with the slaughter and whatnot. Once you truly understand the combat, game is a piece of cake. Then again, I'm probably only around 80% done. I would definitely pay the 63 cents.

Man if I have to download another store or use another installer I am out. Steam has made me awful lazy when it comes to computer games. Not the fault of the dev, but of my own personal failures I guess. Big Grin

Gonna just create steps for anyone still confused on how to redeem this offer.

1) Register an account first

2) Put the dlc in your cart (you can choose any dlc so long as you make a purchase on their digital store). The recommended dlc is only $0.63 since you get 5% off when you register an account.

3) Go into your cart. You should now be able to see the free game added to your cart automatically.

4) Checkout

5) Wait a few minutes to let the game and dlc process/generate in your "Order History".

6) Once you see it, click on "Download Page" where you'll be able to reveal your activation codes. You should see 2 for the game and dlc separately.
