For those interested this is BNC based. Not network/POE. I knew there was a catch.

Camera Connectivity: Wired - BNC Video. Cameras require a wired connection to a compatible DVR

Whats the difference with BNC based vs POE if they all need to be wired up to the recording device?

I believe bnc require separate power line while POE pulls power over ethernet

Friends don't let friends do BNC. You have to run a coax line and a power line to each camera. It is older, obsolete technology. BNC is more limited than POE.

BNC was replaced by POE. You can find POE cables and switches easier. In fact, normal Cat 5 network cables work fine with POE cameras.

missed the ethernet deal at costco . have a wired ethernet setup and i dont want to rerun cables
