I got the vanilla last time but it's pretty strong. I jazz up my regular roast with it, like 4 to 1 Vanilla. In for both because I keep ordering coffee and Prime is taking it's time getting it to me.

Nooo sir. I saw a similar post on here a few months back. There were warnings about this coffee being too bitter, which I ignored. They were true. This coffee is almost undrinkable bitter by itself. It wasn't so bad cold-brewed, and shaken up with a flavored protein powder. I absolutely would stay away from this though. I tossed a full bag in the trash. Eight O'Clock, or anything really, tastes much better than this.

Saying that makes it sound like you don't know how to make your own coffee strong enough for yourself. 😛

same, I don't think I've ever had a refill on anything S&S, I always cancel. Just getting impatient, maybe the pandemic and coffee bean droughts/crop damage are the end times, gulp. I add milk and sugar and only paid for a latte once in my life so not some connoisseur

I've had worse coffee than Dunkin pre-ground; their Original blend isn't too bad but it's usually not fresh enough for pour over for me. I really hated the french vanilla flavor though and couldn't finish it at all.

I used the dark roast last time it went on sale in my cold brew pitcher that was also an SD fp deal and it tasted fine for cold coffee

marketing . . . the price of anything is what one is willing to pay for it.

I mostly tend to agree, but on this one I respectfully disagree (From a fellow slickdealer to slickdealer). Whenever I get a Maxwell house or a lower end coffee I simply can't wait for the container to be finished. Quality is definitely at play when it comes to coffee. I'll overpay for Nespresso branded pods on a splurge too because it is that much better.

You may not realize but: taste is acquired. Kimchi is a staple in the Korean dish, most Koreans eat it weekly if not daily . . . most Americans would not even consider it as food.

Maxwell and this Dunkin deal are blended coffee, so you don't really know the quality of the coffee, the blend percentage and even coffee type. So in my book any blended coffee should be discounted unless above detail is disclosed.

So now, let's talk price and quality. This Dunkin coffee price is $0.34 per oz for a blend of stuff. Sam's Club sells (everyday price):

Cafe Bustelo [samsclub.com] (much higher quality 100% pure Arabica coffee bean) @ $0.24 per oz

and other brand name blends sell at much lower price everyday at Sams too:

Folgers Classic @ $0.18 per oz
Maxwell House @ $0.17 per oz
Folgers Black Silk @ $0.25 per oz
Yuban @ $0.17 per oz

The point is, it's okay if you like Dunkin coffee, it's the same if somebody likes Starbucks. But do realize that Dunkin and Starbucks are not better in quality per price, many other better options are available. With Dunkin and Starbucks you are paying for user experience, marketing, advertising . . . . SD pushes this to front page and people think it's a deal and sell out the $$.
