$0 delivery fee. But what they don't make clear is all the other charges they add on the last screen before you order. They also don't tell you that the "menu" prices you pay for food are almost always higher than the restaurant charges, so that's another hidden charge.

The Menu prices are marked up by Uber eats. Restaurants still charge the same price. On more than a couple of occasions, they forgot to remove the stapled receipt from the carry bag handed over to them by the restaurant which showed the same price as the restaurant charges directly but uber charged me 20% higher on almost every item.
On a couple of occasions the restaurants have suggested me to order directly from them to avoid the middle man. That ways they make more money.

I have a restaurant on Uber Eats. We control the pricing and currently do not mark up Uber eats orders. That restaurant is too lazy to create a separate pricing menu in their in house point of sale system. That is why your receipt shows those pricing.
Looks like it worked for me. Expiration Oct 29th. But as another commenter mentioned. I hope it works past the expiration of the 1.99 Hulu deal. Perhaps it can be transferred to a new Hulu account if Hulu makes the 1.99 deal again this year?

I don't know why people don't understand this. I guess they just like to blame the "side" they like less. Guess that's how it works overall….
Someone has to make money and pay the drivers. The restaurant now is getting more customers, selling more food, and have open tables for walk-in customers. Restaurants should be begging for Uber , door dash or whoever to be delivering for them, and happily pay the fee. Overall it's a huge benefit to the eateries. Huge.
You may want to do a little research on this subject... A simple google search of "is uber eats good for restaurants" should be enough to get you started.

Uber Eats is only beneficial to a restaurant if:
1. the orders coming in are new customers.
2. orders are out of restaurants delivery zone
3. if restaurant is not close to reaching max utilization of employees.
Example if my restaurant can handle 150 orders a day with current staffing and I am only doing 100 orders. Any order Uber gives me is a bonus as long as it is not a current customer.
Other than in those scenarios, Uber Eats actually damages a restaurants bottom line.
the word "eligible" everywhere - makes me nervous.
it's how offers give them an excuse to ineligible you
so whatever that offer was, it's now meaningless.

My extended family has a small restaurant and Uber/Door dash actually "helped" them during this current time. They couldn't have people eating in, and didn't deliver themselves. Even now they have a hard time hiring people, so every order they get outside of someone walking in or picking up themselves is a bonus. - All according to them and their situation.

Or if the restaurant doesn't deliver on their own. Big benefit there too.
Also, when I delivered temporarily, there were some pretty shady places I picked up from, or "restaurants" in a conscience store. I am pretty sure the people I delivered too would not have gone there themselves.

Anecdotal evidence is just that... Sure, not every restaurant hates them, but it's not hard at all to find those that do. Your acting like these delivery services are a gift from God that all restaurants should be thankful for shows that you haven't paid much attention otherwise.

Restaurants have a choice to use them or not.
Others acting like these services are the devil are not informed either. They don't set the prices, another incorrect comment that keeps appearing, and they are not forced to use them. Simple.
I personally do not use these services. I would rather save the fees and tip, and pickup food myself whenever I order out. But that's me.

Do you have own shares of delivery apps or something? Not sure why you're so protective. Restaurants kinda have to use the apps if they want to survive. The only way restaurants get visibility is by using these apps, so their hand is being forced.

I cancelled my subscription first, then clicked on offer, and that was my result.
