No its dotdot for atmos. The ear level channels and height channels are interchangable, but the subwooofer ones are not. So 7.2 is seven channels (either ear level or height) and 2 subwoofer channels (really its just 1 split..but its marketing to call it .2). So this receiver can do 5.2.2 or 7.2.0. it cannot support 5.1.4 or 7.1.4 (5.1.4 would require a 9.1 receiver, and 7.1.4 would be an 11.1 channel receiver...those exist..but not in this price range).

Damn. I bought my 750h 5 months ago. I cooooould return it. But that's kind of a dick move for a perfectly working item

That's not how it works. People act like they're suddenly entitled to some to something when they pay the tiny annual fee (are you really of the mindset that the pitiful $60 actually covers the loss here?). Do you also act like you can intentionally wreck your cars because you pay for insurance?

If his device had broken 5 months ago and he returned it, that's one thing. But, to go and return it because there's suddenly a different device? "Come on, man." It's literally the reason why they changed the unlimited return policy to 90 days for electronics, because people were grossly taking advantage of it.

I agree with everything above as long as you are talking about people who are returning the Denon AVR-S750H. If you are referring to anyone who purchased the Yamaha TSR-700, it's not even a halfway good product, much less a perfectly good product. It's riddled with bugs that Yamaha has promised to fix with firmware updates yet still hasn't resolved the problems.
well, I don't disagree. If I was VERY unhappy with a purchase (for good reasons) from Costco I would take it back even after some time.

But, as for your point, if you are following the rules you will not fail.

Just came back from Costco in Roseville CA, they had about 15 in stock.

Hooked up both ps5 & xbox sx. Can confirm 120hz + 4k with zero issues !

Finally something that works Smilie

So what is the verdict on this receiver. Worth getting for someone with an LG Oled and next gen console?

Is it good enough if I ever upgrade my speakers beyond my Klipsch quintets in the future?

So I replaced my Denon 4311ci with this and audio wise it sounds great! Still trying to get the hang of things but audio is working through eARC perfectly fine. Just trying to figure out about the on screen audio display. Maybe I'll move the Xbox Series X and the Apple TV direct to the receiver the way it should be lol

I currently do not have any actual speakers, but looking to upgrade soon. Will this AVR work as a hdmi switch/passthrough to connect my XSX, PS5, Apple TV, and Switch with my Lg C1? And then use the eARC from TV to soundbar till I buy the speakers? Afraid of losing out on stock/availability/price if I buy while shopping for dpeakers later in the year! There were 20 at my local Costco yesterday. Now just 8 :/

Store in Shoreline, WA now has one fewer than they had an hour ago. Smilie Only a handful left on the shelf, though there may have been another stack elsewhere...

Yes, but when you set up the AVR you have choose the option to pass sound to the TV instead of being processed by the AVR.

Usually, sound ends at the AVR and only video is passed to the TV, but you want audio and video to go to the TV.

there is a setting for that, I just don't remember what it is because I've never had to do it.

Just picked up 1 @ Pflugerville Costco (Austin Region) I counted about 17 remaining. I guess there was limited stock.

Bought Yamaha tsr 700 a long time ago from Costco, probably almost a year. But didn't even open the box. Can I still return it? If so, what's the process? I'm sure if I go with it and if they open my account to track the order, it may show its bought more than a year ago. Do they still accept it back?

Thank you so much for explaining this! Totally new to the AVR/HT field and therefore was nervous to get it and not able to hook it up immediately! At least I have an expensive hdmi seitch now till i get the klipsch speakers from costco/adorama Smilie off to the warehouse now

So I bought my 750 on 4/21
What exactly is the return policy
I'm pretty sure I'll just keep it since no problems
I do wish it had a b zone and still run 7.1 but I guess that would take a 9.1 unit unless I just hook the b zone speakers into the fronts
Just what's better about the 760 vs the 750?
