No its dotdot for atmos. The ear level channels and height channels are interchangable, but the subwooofer ones are not. So 7.2 is seven channels (either ear level or height) and 2 subwoofer channels (really its just 1 split..but its marketing to call it .2). So this receiver can do 5.2.2 or 7.2.0. it cannot support 5.1.4 or 7.1.4 (5.1.4 would require a 9.1 receiver, and 7.1.4 would be an 11.1 channel receiver...those exist..but not in this price range).
Damn. I bought my 750h 5 months ago. I cooooould return it. But that's kind of a dick move for a perfectly working item
That's not how it works. People act like they're suddenly entitled to some to something when they pay the tiny annual fee (are you really of the mindset that the pitiful $60 actually covers the loss here?). Do you also act like you can intentionally wreck your cars because you pay for insurance?

If his device had broken 5 months ago and he returned it, that's one thing. But, to go and return it because there's suddenly a different device? "Come on, man." It's literally the reason why they changed the unlimited return policy to 90 days for electronics, because people were grossly taking advantage of it.

Confirmed and got one in Cumming GA. Small display on shelf and 10 left. It is replacing a faulty AVR 920W that has the dreaded auto power down regardless of nothing connected and numerous resets. Quite disappointed it crapped out after 4 yrs, never a prob with my Onkyos but will give Denon another shot with this unit.

I did notice the Audussey configuration setup low sound and had to adjust manually on remote-option-channel level adjust and raise my center. So far enjoying sound and video quality. Hoping to get the new XBX over Xmas to enjoy further benefits…
I got one from Cumming this morning, and it worked for about three hours, and then I got the dreaded blinking red power button. Checked my connections, actually disconnected all of them, reset the microprocessor, and it never worked right. Back to Exit 15 momentarily.

The "back"? Isn't the literal Costco floor the "back?

Not the original commenter. You're right, the back is usually for unloading but they typically store additional inventory on the 2-3 upper tiers of the shelves.

Sorry to hear. I had an electronics shop look at the 920w when it was occasionally doing it and all readings with meter were fine. It basically did this off and on for 9 months. I threw my Onkyo in the setup and worked fine so I know it was not speaker setup. If you get one event, don't chance it while under warranty. Costco confirmed their policy of 90 days electronics.

The Denon S series is their low-end under - powered receivers. Never really like them. Might be OK for wimpy 5.1 setups but anything more and you will be diluting the power each speaker is able to utilize significantly and they won't sound good.
not if you have 98.7 DB sensitivity speakers. You can power those with like 20 watts of power and have room to spare lol. the joy of having STUPID easy to drive speakers

Anyone have issues trying to connect their firestick 4k directly to the S760H in 2160p? Mine won't play video unless it's directly connected to the TV. I did notice it will play video if the stick settings are 1080p and directly connected to the AVR.
