If his device had broken 5 months ago and he returned it, that's one thing. But, to go and return it because there's suddenly a different device? "Come on, man." It's literally the reason why they changed the unlimited return policy to 90 days for electronics, because people were grossly taking advantage of it.

I agree with you.
I am a Costco fan boy, I don't abuse their great return policy.
I had a Pioneer Elite setup identically and both devices worked fine in 4k with that box so not sure what's wrong with this setup.

and the ARC is a pain in you know what. i have to reboot the soundbar once every week atleast to get the handshake to work.

I am sure these speaker setups are probably better than the Jamo 809's, right?

1. Initially ran setup full audyssey set everything to automatic suggested settings including auto EQ, it was fine but for some reason my surround speakers were louder than the main speakers.
2. I reran the Audio Setup and followed the screen measurements more closely it does specify for each sound position to be no more than 60 cm or 2 ft apart. This seems to have achieved better balance as I initially wasn't paying close attention to the original mic setup position. I also turned off Auto EQ as well.
We have the freedumb. This is not USSR.

The S760H works perfectly, it sounds better, and it has an actual OSD instead of a tiny crappy LED display that you have to walk up close to in order to see.
I hope Costco can get their money back from Yamaha, they were really sold a turd there.

I know that thing had some issues and still needs to be resolved but I thought it was good product at a good value don't you think?
Does Denon sound better than Yamaha? I was too late on the yamaha deal but perhaps this is a good thing. I am being stingy and waiting to go down to $399 but I might just splurge after the 15th. Fug it.
Changing inputs was slow, changing codecs was slow, sometimes when you changed inputs the picture stayed black, so you'd have to keep switching back and forth inputs until it finally showed up. Dolby Vision from ShieldTV always resulted in a black screen. ARC had constant audio dropouts and was basically useless, which means you MUST deal with all of the screen blanking problems.
Honestly the thing was just a headache that was sitting next to my TV. I'd say it's worth maybe a quarter of its selling price, at which point I'd say "ok, at that price I can just put this dinky little machine in my study, though now I also need to buy speakers"

I think it does. Or rather, it sounds a bit brighter, which is my preference, and the signal to my subwoofer isn't getting a ground loop like it was with the Yamaha, and the bass also feels a lot more convincing without needing to be louder.
Thanks for sharing! Good to know.
