Make sure to print stuff like the filament wheel (that helps the filament feed), required a ball bearing. Also the tool holder is nice, as well as pi camera holder which you can integrate into octoprint so you can see your prints while they print without physically looking at the printer. If you are not technically inclined, go with another printer that works out of box. Some printers come fully assembled and already calibrated. If you don't have a programming background, 3d printing will be hard unless you are just printing something someone else has already created. Often things people have designed need to be modified to meet your needs.
TLDR: Good 3dprinter, bad firmware, takes time and effort, this printer is basically taking on a whole hobby just to get it working properly. If you want plug and play, this is not the printer for you.

First, I recommend watching some 3d printing basics from youtubers like Teaching tech [youtube.com], Thomas Sandlederer [youtube.com], Uncle Jessy [youtube.com], maker's muse, 3d printing nerd, cnckitchen, and many others.
Now you need 3 things to 3D print something:
3d model
3d printer
slicing software
The a software translates ("slices") the models into a code the printer can read (gcode). The consumer level printing industry is pretty open source.
That means three things: you can use almost any software with any printer, there's plenty of community support, open source can sometimes lack polish and ease of use (think iphone vs windows phone interface).
How it works:
Filament goes through an extruder
Extruder has a gear and a tension wheel
Filament gets pushed into hot end through a "bowden" tube.
Hotend heats up filament
Hotend fan keeps the filament from melting and clogging outside of the nozzle
Filament comes out the nozzle and is cooled by the cooling fan
Now on to the actual packages.

If you want to create your own engineering based designs, use a CAD. If you want to create your own organic style designs, use mesh modeler or sculpting software.
Additional Tools needed:
Calipers
isopropyl alcohol - cleaning bed
Utility knife (be carefull)
Hex keys (included)
10mm wrench (included)
Flexible scraper (included)
Additional Tools recommended:
Straight edge
Square (woodworking square)
razor blade
deburring tool (highly recommend)
sand paper
tack cloth (to remove dust)
Clearcoat - I use Rustoleum 2X high gloss - smells better and dries fast.
Tape, hairspray, glue - for bed adhesion issues, if properly leveled it isn't needed. I use aquanet hairspray on glass beds.
What to expect before first print:
Check all bolts, nuts, check belt tension, and squareness of frame.
Check tightness of rollers on eccentric screws (not to tight, able to spin by hand with some friction)
Clean the bed
familiarize with menus on printer screen
home printer
Level the bed
Print model on usb stick.
What to do during your first print:
Keep the printer near you for first few prints at least.
Check hotend temp is ok (190-210 for PLA)
Check bed temp is ok (35-60 for PLA)
Watch the first layer, adjust bed height or level if needed. (not to close, not to far)
Watch other layers, are they printing ok?
Watch components, is the extruder spinning without mechanical noises? is filament coming out as it should (not underextruding)?
What to do after first print:
Download calibration models (thingiverse)
Choose your basic settings in the slicer (stick to defaults)
Slice and print your first model
If you'd like to print more complicated models with supports and better quality then go ahead and run through:
Follow through with the calibration prints - use youtube or teachingtech as your guide [github.io]
learn how to change a nozzle, learn how to reassemble the hotend properly (very very important)
Flow calibration
Stringing calibration
do not do linear advance, Ender3s don't support it.

Replied "Y" to the original message and get an updated link. However, the coupon still show as expiring on 9-13-2021. Decided t give it a try and went to the store, "expired" coupon worked! Got my son a cool birthday present in 10 mins.
If you have an expired coupon from last time, try to re-activate it.
There is a world of stuff out there you can download, slice, and print. Check out thingiverse.com as a starting point to look at what others have designed and shared.

Firmware is changeable, most people have good luck with ender 3s as it's one of the most popular printers, you don't need octoprint or bl touch. Cura or prusaslicer basic profiles should work just fine. Anything more than that (e.g. prints with intricate supports), you WILL have to mess a lot with both the printer and slicer. This isn't this printers issue, its the state of the hobby printing on any consumer machine. You have to want to tinker with the machine unless you want to spend $1k-5k on a more maintenance free option.

We (and few friends) have this 3D printer - except school projects, small accessories, fun toys and the likes, not really sure it's that handy you can just print parts to repair things around the house, without putting in some amount of efforts to search for printable model that suits the needed part (hopefully it's free), or to learn and design/program your own 3D model for the part?
If you want something to learn on, an Ender3Pro or V2 is the most recommended entry level printer.

Handles, covers, gears, feet and spacers, indoor planters, mounts, brackets (google chrome wall mount, light shelf brackets, door catches, etc), holders (headphones, cords, etc), cosplay weapons helmets and armor, functional quality of life improvements around the house, molds for resin, etc.
I've seen printed:
Prototypes, light duty tooling, fixtures, molds for concrete, fish tank scapes and parts, robotics, automation parts, sculptures, lampshades, photos, etc. Look at thingiverse.com for other ideas.
With modification to print other materials:
Car parts, medium duty tooling and fixturing, better prototypes, outdoor garden and other items, yes..people can print gun parts and yes they work (search youtube).

I have seen videos of people using an Arduino to bit bang a boot loader so that their could update the FW
And what FW comes on this printer stock and does it support the creality bed level probe?
I got this last time had to pay someone $10 for the coupon ,guess I should have just waited
Also when I was looking at this in the store the associate who came over to help me immediately asked if I had a coupon when I asked for this printer ,I said yes ,but now I am wondering if I said no if he was going to offer me one
Anyways I just don't have the time or room to set this up right now
But I am wondering I go to microcenter and buy the creality bed level probe
Will it be plug and play ,will it have the grid leveling option and the Z calibration wizard(I heard something about a wizard to calibrate the Z offset in some version of marlin)
This is my first 3d printer ,I knew just about nothing about 3D printing or this machine but I have since been watching lots of videos on this machine and 3D printing in general and I won't get around to setting this up for awhile
So you said you had to "build" your version on Marlin ,is it a version is Marlin that comes preinstalled on this printer ? The videos I wait about needing to not bang the bootloader with an Arduino are a few years old so not sure of that part had changed or not bit could you just download the custom version of marlin you are using and flash it ? Why exactly did you Have to build it/compile it yourself?
And lastly if I buy the creality BL probe from microcenter and I bring in my assembled printer do they offer free support for calibrating it on store

Usually in the process of printing out something whenever I go there and some really nice quality finished prints on display so someone there knows what they are doing
The firmware included does not support an ABL. You would need to update your firmware to enable that functionality. The included firmware is a Creality branded version of Marlin. You can either install a ABL-enabled version of the Creality firmware, or switch to the Marlin version (which would be more recent and have more features).
Installing an ABL and configuring an ABL or the printer for that matter is not a "quick" task. You should really take your time making sure your printer is square as you are building it. If you do not have the time to dedicate to properly setting up and maintaining this printer, I would not expect great results.
I would not expect Microcenter to install or support or configure the printer or ABL for you.
