I love nuts, I'd eat multiple handfuls as a quick snack. Never caring about the calories. Currently switched to air popped popcorn and pretzel sticks, much less fat, less calories and way more volume. I can have 7 cups of popcorn for 120 calories and 40-50 pretzel sticks for 120 calories. For comparison an ounce of cashews (16-18 cashews) is 160 calories.
If you really want to go all out now you could switch to rice cakes, celery, and sand for even less calories and overall nutrition. Cashews are wonderful, in moderation, and every diet needs a little fat. I'm more concerned with empty carbs, although I admit I love pretzels.

Unlike many of us, you only seem to care about the calories, but not much about the nutritional value of the foods you eat.

I got this last time this was on sale. If you have an Aldi nearby, theirs is cheaper and is of better quality.
It's been some time since I checked, but the last time I looked at the labels on Aldi's various nuts, they all contained cottonseed oil. I like that Planters uses peanut oil.

Yes, there IS a reason, its called free market competition. If the greedy pigs are really making huge piles of cash so easily in their nut factories and restaurants from oversized margins (and hey, you're really smart and have it all figured out, right?) then someone could easily waltz in and set up as a competitor and run those greedy SOB's out of business in 5 minutes just by paying more and charging less, right? I've put in my hard time working in restaurants, over 10 years of my life and most fight to profit. A 2 second Google search says average restaurant margins are 3-5%, which is pretty slim for taking all those big risks of lease payments, equipment, hiring, benefits, etc. You embarrass yourself with your ignorance. Do you know that the 2 main impacts of racist minimum wage laws is increasing black unemployment and inflation?
Um this is a thread about cashews lol

Correct, and people were discussing the increased prices, the cause of said inflation, and the compounding effects of supply chain/labor issues. It's important for a Slickdealer to be able to work through these situations and make one of two educated conclusions. Either price increases are due to real market forces and this is the new normal "Slick deal price" or no, this is just a bad deal and I can wait for a better deal. In this particular case the dude needed to be educated that the old prices are probably gone forever. Pay more or never have cashews again.

A lot of nutty comments but little talk of cashew deals. I was lucky enough to have the 25% off offer. Ordered one. Thanks for posting.
