Only downside is game collection is not so great.. and often they are very expensive. Their pro subscription at 10 bucks a month is not at all justifiable.
Definitely not worth for full time gamers. Casual gamers playing only a handful of games like me .. 60 bucks for a game and chromecast is well worth it.
In my experience it is neither slow nor laggy if you have reliable home internet.

As someone whose full-time gaming days are way in the rearview mirror, Stadia is remarkable. I can play a few minutes everywhere--on my phone with Kishi mobile controller, on my iPad with the Stadia controller, on my desktop, on my TV. It's so nice not having to buy a system.
RDR2 has kept me busy for months and loads insanely fast and runs great. I also bought versions of Assassin's Creed and Borderlands and NBA2K21 when I had my 3 month Pro trial. All those are waiting to be played.
For a casual gamer it's a godsend to be honest.
I was able to install Stadia on my Ultra Chromecast but my poopy 40Mbps wasn't up to speed.

When I searched I found language that it's available for making a 5G phone purchase or purchasing new fiber service or upgrading your internet speed.
How do I redeem 6 months of Stadia Pro? Purchase a 5G device on a qualifying AT&T plan or subscribe to a new AT&T Fiber service.
So if you already have the top tier speed it seems you are excluded.
