Only downside is game collection is not so great.. and often they are very expensive. Their pro subscription at 10 bucks a month is not at all justifiable.
Definitely not worth for full time gamers. Casual gamers playing only a handful of games like me .. 60 bucks for a game and chromecast is well worth it.
In my experience it is neither slow nor laggy if you have reliable home internet.​

Stadia is ideal for those that don't want to buy hardware or can't justify spending $200+ and would only play an hour or so a week.
I re read your question, the Stadia controller itself supports either WiFi or USB (via A to C or C to C)
I think the best bet is to use the $10 first on another game then do this deal with real money.

I told someone about this deal and sent them this offer, they told me they went to buy the Premier it was $80 not $60 and there was no mention of free anything. Imagine that.
Google wants us to buy a game with no mention of free Stadia while checking out. Just trust some BLOG post. I know Google will honor it but there is no commitment on the buy page.
By the way last year they gave away the premir to youtube premire subscribers around Nov 10th so I put a remniner for myself to get a month of YouTube premier on Nov 5th fingers crossed they will do the deal again. Last year you had to be already a subscriber.
Don't forget with BRAVE browser you dont see any ads on youtube. Delete Chrome only use Brave. If you turn on limited ads from Brave you can mine/earn BAT their crypto currency which saving your phone battery at the same time.
Brave also allows you to listen to YouTube after closing the browser even locking the phone so essentially you have an adfree music service using YouTube on Brave browser.

I used my PS4 Controller with my Galaxy Tab S4 and Galaxy Note 10, did both wire and bluetooth, wired was a tiny bit better probably, but not so noticable. I am sure for FPS one might have issues.
Matching online games was quick too. This is a really good option to try, especially for those games like Fifa where graphics is not the main concern, but still the graphics were good. And the new motion pro technology is also very impressive.
On PS4, i Hve to buy the console, and buy PS plus membership to play online. This just the game if i already have hardware, and from my phone or tablet, you just click the app and the gane launches in less than few seconds. Thats so convenient! For serious gamers this is a secondary option, but i might be migrating to stadia
