I actually just filed a warranty claim on the clock, after about 11 months one of the LED's on the display died. It makes the number 9 show as a 3. I'm fighting with their customer service to get it fixed. Have spent over an hour on the phone with them over this stupid clock.
FYI, since Walmart's app update, they have removed the in store scanning function on clearance pricing; however, if you use Walmart + it will still scan the clearance price in store. Sneaky and dirty way to push people to +, but if you are a clearance hound, it is what it is.
I bought 3 last time they had a deal on them. I use them to replace my bed clock for me and the kids. They loved it and works quite well. The night light is a nice touch.
Quite a few stores have these in the Indianapolis area. Snagged 4 this morning with a few left - right out on the open shelf in electronics / smart home section.
Edit: all labeled and rang up at $17, same as brickseek showed.
This is technically return fraud. However, the serial number is nearly impossible to see. I had to use the flashlight on my phone and a magnifying glass to just read it to file the warranty claim. I'm so pissed off about the last hour long phone call that I'm willing to say f-k it and just do exactly this at this point. Do they really think I'm gonna spend an hour on the phone to try and scam them for a $20 clock? C'mon man. My time is worth a hell of a lot more than some $20 clock. I don't think I'm even gonna follow up on this "service ticket".
like with rebates, the idea is to make it very difficult to scam them or get anything from them. they will ask you so many questions and ask you to upload photos, videos . . .
at the end it will cost more than $20 of your time. that is why the best way to deal with CS is via chat. first you can multitask it into work (if you work on the computer), and second you will have an evidence of the communication (whom, when about what).
just remember that most of CS is done by 3rd party folks who have no or very little information about the item or who purchased what. CS are people who are just doing their jobs and are usually paid significantly less and have to deal with thousands of people like you.

Saves me a trip 18 miles away to pick up a crappy clock. Thanks!

I'm on the phone with their customer service in India (again). Explaining the problem (again). It's not my problem what they are paid or aren't paid. I just want the thing to work. Shouldn't take this long to reach a resolution. Back when I was in customer service years ago there was a thing called "one call resolution" where we were supposed to make sure the customer's issue was resolved…. I emailed the photo they asked for and am still waiting to find out if they even got the email. I have been on hold for an unacceptable amount of time (18 minutes thus far) while they track my email down. Their process sucks. That's not my fault that the clock sucks and not my fault that their customer service sucks. I've been very pleasant and polite about it to the reps. Not blaming them. Not their fault that this thing is so crappy and their processes are broken.
Went to my Walmart and they had a bunch of them locked up behind glass, like most electronics at Walmart. The price said $29 but rang up $17 as others have mentioned. Bought 3. Good stocking stuffers for Christmas.

Also you have to download like 3 apps to get everything to work, I would avoid it.
