I actually just filed a warranty claim on the clock, after about 11 months one of the LED's on the display died. It makes the number 9 show as a 3. I'm fighting with their customer service to get it fixed. Have spent over an hour on the phone with them over this stupid clock.
FYI, since Walmart's app update, they have removed the in store scanning function on clearance pricing; however, if you use Walmart + it will still scan the clearance price in store. Sneaky and dirty way to push people to +, but if you are a clearance hound, it is what it is.

I've bought shit at other stores and returned it to Walmart just because I didn't feel like driving 30 minutes to a particular store and Walmart was 10 minutes away. I bought a battery for my riding mower at rural king and took it back to Walmart. Not only did they not question me but that battery I paid $29 at rural king was &70 at Walmart so I actually gained. This was 4 years ago and the FBI still hasn't kicked in the door.
They must have taken your state id / DL during return. Number of returns do max out. Lot of it depends on the area where you live, may be store manager's decision or risk of fraud etc. Looks like you never had any issue, so whatever you have been doing is within the acceptable limits set by the bigwigs.
Used the clock for the last year. It's a great clock to have by your bed. Super small, the light is not obnoxious, the time is linked to my phone so daylight savings doesn't trick me.
Sure it can play music and do voice commands but at this price it's simply a better bedroom clock than anything else out there.
Update: Lenovo is sending me a new clock. If this new one fails, I think I'm just gonna give up on these. For whatever it's worth I have the original smart clock with the smaller color display, a 10" smart display, and have had no issues with the others.
Can't add a photo but it is a white box the says Lenovo Smart Clock Essential and Smart Color bulb.. Our walmart had lots of them..$17.. got 2 of them. Going to our one near my Xfinity Cable box as it doesn't have a clock anymore and when we watch tv in the living room that's the clock we use..Basically it's a a Google home w a rather tinny speaker. I renamed my Lenovo Google

You're probably right, I was out running errands anyway and only stopped at 1 of the several WM's that Brickseek supposedly says they have in stock, not wasting my time/gas running to others.
I just stopped in my store and bought 2. I remember when back to school was starting these were in that section. Now that section has been replaced with Halloween so I checked electronics in the case where the Lenovo clocks and smart lights are. They were nowhere to be found in ethers. I did however find the display case of them on top of an aisle by video games, and it had 8 of them in it, so just make sure you are checking the whole department because my store showed none in stock on their website, but they did have them. Hope this helps if you are hunting one!
