I came to post the same deal but through Lowe's, Target, Staples, Walmart, and Kohl's lol. I guess nobody will miss out if they are looking for these. Repped
Thanks for the post. I recently found a Google Nest Mini around my house. I figure a member of my family may have gotten it as part of a promotion. I suspect that it is v1, but what identifying features could I check to confirm that it isn't v2, and what new features does v2 have?
Thanks.

In August I paid $12.34 for the Gen 1 at Lowe's - have seen them for that price afterward - Gen 2 is simply not worth twice as much considering the Gen 2's reported issues.
Gen 2 is and has been $24.99 at Lowe's so not quite sure how this makes it to the front page

If you suffer from tinnitus these make wonderful noise machines. I keep one near my bed and simple say "google, play white noise rain" for a pleasant sleeping experience.
Anybody else have problems with "crackling" noises, freezes and reboots with V2? Did not have this problem with V1...
Definitely. I have 3 that have a consistent problem with the crackling/freezing, and then one of those will always lose connection at some point in time and the only way I can temporarily fix it is by rebooting the device until the next time it loses connection and tells me to go to the Google Home app to resolve it (never works).
They're great when they work, annoying as hell when they don't.

im not sure if there are actaully 2 versions of the nest mini. im pretty sure its the google home mini and the google nest mini. the latter being what people call the 2nd generation.
google home mini has a barrel type power plug. google nest mini has a mini usb power plug. easiest way to tell them apart.
