I might have got a different deal but I go a September cert when I signed up. I only had 3 days to use it before it expired.
Yeah, that was the old program. The new one just started this month. No more welcome cert. In place of it, you get 10k points. It's more value than the old program by $5, but the welcome cert before could be used immediately. This one, you have to wait up to 72 hours for your points to post.

If you want to use the monthly $5 reward for Msft/xbox $ gift card, do you need to go to a brick and mortar wach month or can it be redeemed all via app?
Unfortunately in store. I get switch or PS5 credit each month but can't do it online. That's the one thing I hate about this rewards program.

If you could use the coupons on gift cards online, how would they make money? You're paying $15 and getting $70 back. You have to spend it on a physical item online or use it in store if you want gift cards.

What is the difference if I buy $5 worth of credit online versus instore? How would they make any more money if I have to purchase $5 worth of credit in person?

Can you pay for this using a gift card in store? Online doesn't seem to allow GC to pay for this.

If no, then a lot of folks who don't drive to b&m regularly would want to know as it factors in their decision if the $5/Mo credit for a physical gift card is worth the time & material to drive round trip. Most of us are stock holders and are conscious of how much profit they're making but driving to a b&m is a deal breaker for many and should be clear in their TLDR description. Is the certificate physical or digital? If it's digital most would want the option to spend it digitally.

If yes, then this is a slicker deal.

I think I read it a few posts back that they no longer print the codes on the receipt when signing up to pro. I Signed up in store just now and No code was printed on the receipt

Rep said to wait a few business days

Of course. The coupons are an incentive to get you into the store and shop. I don't know why you mentioned the shareholder stuff, but the stock, moon, diamond hands in every GS post is played out.

I'm the one who mentioned that. The receipt certificate ended on 10/1. You only get 10k points, which will take up to 72 hours to post. Your first monthly coupon will be next month.

So I called them up since someone else mentioned that a rep told them they had to go to a store to finish the profile.

The rep over the phone says that my account shows as inactive even though I paid the $15 at the store.

Great.

Just wait a few days to see if you get the 10k points. Actually, when I renewed last month, I got the points in about 6 hours. You created your Pro account and did the verification thing that's mentioned in your email?

The one I did today is an old account but it was a free account. I don't think I ever had pro on it.

I remember around April of last year I purchased a pro account on a different older account. When I paid the $15 at the store, the $5 code printed at the bottom of the receipt even though it was around April 28th, towards the end of the month.

Hopefully they can fix the issues.

No, it's not an issue - it's like that by design. No more $5 welcome receipt codes. You get 10k points now in place of it. The new program just started this month.
