Where did you see anything about a $5 welcome certificate, OP? I don't see it mentioned in the promo ad on the website, and the customer support person I'm chatting with says they had a $5 welcome cert a few monks ago, but it was replaced with the 10k points promo.

I chatted with gamestop. There's no more 5 dollar welcome certificate. They changed the benefits of the pro membership 10.1.2021. There may have a small window when this was allowed, but not anymore. The main changes is that no more 5 dollar welcome certificate. Replaced with 10,000 points that do not expire. The 5 dollar month is still there. And no more birthday benefits, most notable changes.

I purchased this a couple months ago. Strangely, I never got my magazines.
I asked chat about this as well, they said you had to create a gameinformer account on the gameinformer website. I haven't did this my self yet.

I think most of us are getting confused because when you click the link, you see that it shows a 10k bonus and then it says a $5 monthly reward ($60 annual) which makes it seem that we should get a $5 monthly reward for October but it seems like we won't.

Technically we should get the October $5 cert but that would be October 2022.

I did this online a few nights ago. Still no sign of my 10k signup points, nor my first $5 cert to use for this month. Recently I bought a game called Lost Judgment which came with a $10 reward, I had to contact support just to get that issued to me as well once many days had gone by and it was never rewarded as it should have been. I figured this membership would quickly pay for itself and it's the only gaming rewards around these days since GCU ended, but it's clear much of GameStop as a business is a mess right now. There was a game on sale that I wanted, and I figured I'd get these 10k points and $5 monthly reward right away and I'd buy the game. Now I'm willing to bet by the time they get my points straightened out, the sale price on the game will expire and I won't be able to get what I wanted.

As others have also mentioned, the $5 monthly rewards can't stack because they expire, and they also cannot be used to preorder something, they have to be used on something currently in stock. Which is a negative to me, easiest way to make sure the rewards don't get wasted in a month where I might not want anything is to just preorder something that I know I want in the future. I hear PSN cards don't come in anything less than $10, so if you're mainly a PlayStation gamer you can't just get your monthly $5 in PSN credit either unless you add cash to it.

Small print terms about the PowerUp Pro says you can request to cancel/refund your membership within 7 days. I may do that as I am disappointed already. (Oh, also the previous game I bought online had a release date of Friday Sep 24th and I received it Weds the 29th. For a business that caters to gamers, they should know it's not fun to be 5 days behind everyone else who starts playing a game on release day. The package didn't even start moving until Monday after release.)

So I'll be wasting my Monday morning getting on their live chat that is only available on weekdays to ask where all these rewards are. If that doesn't get sorted immediately, I'll be inquiring about the terms of refunding my membership, and if they mess around with that, I'll contact my credit card about the $15 charge I used to join. I recently got a PS5 and figured I'll be buying more physical games because of that and that this would be worth doing, but I'm already frustrated with GS service.
Please, keep us updated. I'm on the fence of joining this honestly because I usually just shop my local 2nd & Charles.

Can I use the $5 monthly reward to buy online $5 Nintendo eShop?

I just tried on mine and it does not seem to work on any form of gift cards.

I traded in my DualShock 4. They hit me with a refurb fee of 7. So $40-7 $33. Still not bad but they have a software to test for drift. At first I thought it was ok but he did the steering wheel action that it drifts right. It was a limited edition god of war controller but useless cause I tried fixing it but couldn't. Oh well.

A bit confused about my experience compared to others, but I feel somewhat lucky.

I went in on Sept 29 to trade in my PS4 Pro, expecting $275 at the time. i signed up for Pro just 30 minutes before driving to the store. The clerk and I were both surprised when the console rang up for $325 but I wasn't complaining.

I did get rewards points, but I'm confused what each transaction relates to:
+250 Activation 09/29/2021
+6500 Sales Transaction 09/29/2021
0 Member Updated 09/29/2021
+7500 Member Enrolled 09/29/2021
+300 Member Enrolled 09/29/2021
0 Sales Transaction 09/29/2021

By my math that's 14550. What are each of these separated things? What was the "sales transaction?"

The only thing I think I've figured out is 300 for spending $15 on the membership (20 points per dollar x 15 = 300)?

Ah - I suppose that you get extra points for trading in? $325 x 20 = 6500?

That leaves 7500 + 250 which is not 10,000. Am I missing something?

This is separate from the $5 monthly reward, which does very very clearly say in-store only and expires 10/31.

In-Store only reward

Does the monthly $5 reward work in store for Nintendo eshop?

I'm totally new to Gamestop points and rewards. Do I have to redeem the points into a particular reward certificate in order to use them? Can I get multiples of the same denomination reward certificate, or do I have to use the reward certificate first before I can get another reward certificate of the same denomination?

What are a list of all the gift cards you can buy with the $5 credit I'm trying to stack each month
I know it works on Xbox, Steam, and Nintendo. I assume it works on PS, too. You can either get a code at the register from the cashier or you can get a physical card with the scratch-off code,

Did you pay $15 or $20 for your membership? The cheaper option only comes with digital magazines, you pay $5 to get the physical ones in the mail.

Yes, there are $5 codes with Toad and $10 codes with Luigi, the monthly certificate works on both. The rewards are $5/$10/$25/$50 coupons that you can use in-store OR online, you pick which one you want. You can't stack the same denomination coupon, but you can stack 3 different denominations ($5, $25, $50).

I've seen conflicting comments about the cashiers being able to print $5 PSN codes on receipts. Anyone done this recently?

If not, no biggie, I'm happy to spend $5 for a $10 card but figured I would ask. I've had a PS4 for a few years but never pulled the trigger on this deal. Excited about the few bucks savings!
