Solid deal for an awesome NAS. BTW, it also comes with two NVME ports which can be used for storage rather than cache. This is not officially supported by Synology but has been working well for me so far. It even survived an upgrade from DSM 6.x to 7.

Not the lowest price, but it's decent price if you want to grab it now.

Have a qnap but exploring a second Nas probably Synology. Quick couple of questions
1. Will Plex transcode for 4k streams work on this ?
2. Security flaws that I need to be aware of ? QNAP has been a nightmare
3. Configuration ease - qnap needed a lot for reading but has become decent over time.

For me, Synology required less reading to figure it out, than Qnap. I sold my only Qnap in favor of all Synology.

The 420 is fine for file-sharing only purposes, especially if you're only using it as a network backup destination.

Looks to be good for today only. About a 20% savings over normal pricing.

Not seeing Amazon as the seller for the 420 so indeed. 220 is still available.

$100 per Bay is generally the sweet spot for synology sales.
