Use the discount code LTD20 which can be found in the product description to get to the deal price of $80, without the discount it's $99.99.

Now what is this? This motor driven roller adds another axis to your laser engraver, so you're not longer limited to only engrave flat objects. Like if you have a laser modul on your 3d printer, a CNC with a laser or a dedicated laser engraver, this enables you to engrave round objects.

By the way if you have a 3d printer but no laser I would absolutely recommend you getting one. These diode lasers aren't that expensive and you can create a lot of nice individual gifts etc.

Examples would be cans, bottles, glasses/mugs, round wood or things like pens and flashlights which would also make great gifts when engraved.

The engraver has its own stepper motor. Just connect it to what would typically be your Y axis.
  • Stepper motor with a step angle of 1.8° (use microstepping)
  • Weight: 1.1lbs / 0.5kg
  • Input voltage: 12-24V DC
  • Product size: 9.3.x4.1x1.2 in / 237x105x30.5mm
I think the price with the discount isn't that bad, other similar devices at this price point were shorter or had a higher profile so they don't fit in CNC machines with a limited Z height or can only fit smaller objects in 3d printers.

Yes, it looks like a normal flat Y axis to the controller software. You just have to adjust the stepps per mm in the 3d printer's firmware (over the printer's menu) or in the GRBL config if you use a CNC for the dimensional accuracy.

I didn't think a laser engraver was that cheap. I was right.

Can this be used with a Glowforge? Are there better systems?

The Glowforge laser cutters are not really made to tinker with them. If you can somehow unplug it's Y axis motor and adjust the stepps per mm it would work in there too, but it's not the kind of device which you would convert like this probably.

Oh, didn't realize this deal was from several months ago. So code is dead, but price is even cheaper.

Did anyone get this? Does it work well?
