Hellblade is a really great 8 hour game. The combat is very basic yet satisfying, but the story and dialogue is where it shines. Make sure to play it with headphones/earphones.
Transistor. Hellblade. Spiritfarer. Children of Morta. Pyre. Must plays imo
The game has issues on PS5 though and they won't be fixed. For anyone looking to play on PS5, fair warning, it runs terribly.

Yeah, I love love love Supergiant's games, but Transistor was the hardest to get into for me. It's worth getting past the strangeness of the early combats, but you're not alone in bouncing off of it. (Pyre has even clunkier combat, which is surprising for Supergiant, but it's their most innovative game storywise.)

Yep, the voices are great. Pretty unique, one of my favorite games in recent memory.
Hellblade not available on PS5 store. You need to search and buy on pc or mobile app. There are minor graphical glitches but the game is completely playable.
Same here. Played original on PS1 and was my FAVORITE game at the time. I always compared new games to it which made me critical of anything I played afterwards for a while. Played MSG2 but never finished (watched roomates finish instead). Bought MSG4 but life got in the way. Wondering how long it would take to beat MSGV and how much I'd enjoy it.
BTW, huge fan of Tomb Raider (just beat the 2013/14 remake) and Nathan Drake (finsihed 1-4) style games.

Been waiting for Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience to drop back down to $5. I think I may get too much satisfaction saving $1...
LOL, I'm laughing right now. Im in the same boat. I thought about buying it during the last sale, but couldn't bring myself to pay $5.99 after missing the $4.99 deal a few weeks earlier. Any thoughts on the game are appreciated.

Good to hear I'm not alone.
I just know it's extremely well reviewed, and it's not too "old" for me. As such, I'm willing to give it a shot for $5. Just not for $6 out of principle.
How long to beat comes in at 50+ hours. I usually come in at 10% over the main story line number with my times.

I'm always tempted to buy metal gear v for five dollars but I already have it on PC. I would only be buying it for the PlayStation button prompts and trophies.

I think it's stellar gameplay-wise. I sunk over 120 hours into it (and never touched the multiplayer) just replaying missions alone to get S-Rank on all of them. 50+ hours feels about right for getting through the game and playing each mission once
