These disk stations are awesome. PLEX, docker, surveillance station camera software, you can run minecraft servers, backup other devices. I love these things. I already have a DS1019+ and a DS220+ and am trying to figure out reasons to buy another one. The camera licenses usually cost $50 each and these come with 2 free licenses included. If you want to add drives, you can buy WD external drives then shuck them out of the enclosure. Sometimes you can get a 14TB helium filled drive for $189, but HDD prices have been high lately. Great deal.

DS720+ has a 4 core processor vs the DS220+ that has 2 cores. DS720+ can use 2 NVME m.2 drives for caching, but most use cases would not benefit from those anyway. DS220+ can't use m.2 for caching.

I got this on Prime day for the same price, I'd be surprised if black Friday was a better deal. Really happy with it so far. I do wish I would have waited a little bit longer to buy drives for it. Prices and availability have improved quite a bit.
