Don't know about all the thumbs up for this. Seems like a lot of excitement for a deal where most people will save 12 cents…🤔

Insane amount of sugar, unfortunately. Not the greatest thing for those who have crossed 30 yrs of age.

I so miss being young when you could eat anything and it didn't matter.

Yep, very high amount of sugar per calorie.

But worse, there's more fricking OIL in this thing than honey. More specifically, honey is one of the last ingredients in the list, meaning a serving might very well have literally one hundredth of an ounce of honey in it.

It'd kind be like having a "piano concerto" with 1 note of piano in it. Or a "March of the Penguins" featuring 4.2 seconds of penguins in the 90 minute movie.

I know it's a little silly to get worked up about this, but damn this sort of bullshittery should be illegal. At least make 'em call it "Honey-flavored sugary corn flakes" or something.

EDITED TO ADD:
HA HA! Zomg, after writing this, I just looked at the first review on the Amazon page and... holy coincidence, batperson:
- they're also ranting about the misleading name
- their nickname is "The Penguin"
I swear upon all that is nutritious that 1) I didn't write that review. 2) I didn't even SEE it before writing my rant above Big Grin

It's unfortunate. A crying shame. It's because of these companies and deceptive marketing, that 70%+ of USA is overweight and more than 1 in 3 adults is obese. Also one of the highest cardiovascular disease instances per capita of population.
It's tragic how these big companies have made money at the cost of lives and detriment of their fellow citizens..

It is really sad. I have nothing against sweets. Just downed a huge chocolate chip cookie earlier today! Smilie It just grinds my gears, though, when companies evil'ly misrepresent something as healthy when it's actually unhealthy.

Like "blueberry muffins" that have only clarified blueberry juice in them (read: basically sugar) with blue food coloring. or "Multigrain bread" that is 99% white flour + 1% a smattering of two other grains. Ugh Frown

Nearly everything we eat is loaded with sugar. They sometimes try to hide it in the ingredients by using alternate names but it's there. I've even seen salt packets that list sugar as an ingredient in it. It's pathetic really. Sugar sucks. Do hard-core keto for a couple months and watch how much weight you lose.

Maybe Slickdeals needs a "Minimum $1 saved" rule. Otherwise really just strictly marketing.

Not only that. An adult would want to eat at least 2-4 "servings" to feel any satisfaction of a meal.
