Pretty much LPDDR4X = Soldered on Ram. Not going to see LPDDR4x on ram stick from Crucial. (Even if this did have a empty ram slot!)

I have last year model, AMD version. It works great. Screen is dark so its hard to use outside, but inside, it works. USB-C works as display output and also charging. Overwatch and Diablo 3/ 2 Remaster works great on this laptop.

Especially for a midrange non-gaming laptop. Also LPDDR4X is quite a bit faster than SODIMM DDR4. The faster LPDDR4X also increases the IGP performance. Its a mixed bag, but I think 8GB of LPDDR4X is better for this type of laptop than a single rank 8GB SODIMM modules that you can add another stick into or a stupid 8+4 (12GB) configuration

The keyboards on the swift 3 are notoriously fragile. I know several people, myself included, who has a swift 3 with dead keys.
