I just signed up with a business card so it appears to work.

I don't think so. The terms state "...you must have an eligible U.S. Consumer Platinum Card..." and so I was duped into joining when the button un-greyed and allowed me to proceed, but I suspect any AMEX card would do that while only consumer (i.e. not business) cards are eligible. This is the kind of crap I expect from WalMart and a reminder of why I stick with Amazon. i.e. It should have been stated right up front that business cards are not eligible; not buried and page 3 of terms in a 6 point font.

An email from Amex circulated today saying the Business Platinum was wrongly included in this promotion and it is not available on this card. They said something about taking care of people who signed up for it from October 2021 until now but would not continue to offer it on the business plat going forward.
01-21-2022 at 08:52 PM
No. Business platinum does not have this perk. You can "sign up", but you will not be reimbursed. I mistakenly thought this was included with the business card, however, it is not. It's only for the personal platinum.

I can confirm it does NOT work with the business version. I was charged for membership and was not reimbursed and Amex did not credit me, either.

Outside of slickdeals, how many Amex Platinum Members are big Walmart Shoppers? I just dont understand what Amex is doing with the Plat card lately.
Platinum is supposed to be a premium credit card - has one of the highest annual fees of any CC, and they add a Walmart benefit? I think Amex is confused and really diluting the brand and product

The new Soulcycle benefit that was also added is completely worthless
They diluted their AMEX Deals too. It used to be only a few but they were all very decent. Now its full of junk from tiny retailers that i've never heard of and takes forever to filter through the garbage.

I admit, i will probably use this Walmart deal but i dont thiink the typical AMEX Plat card holder would ever step foot insiide a walmart.

I hope AMEX dont continue going down the shitter.

Great deal! I use this 2-3x a month. I just pay a ~$7 tip and there are no other delivery fees.

My platinum card also as an Offer for 5 MR points per dollar on Walmart.com

This point!! I hate their offers now. It used to be a genuine perk. Now it's just stuff I'll never use.

It is confusing what AMEX intends to market the Platinum card as. But having said that, if an item is available on both Amazon Prime and Walmart+, I rather go with Walmart due to a 90 day return policy.

I have another AMEX card that I don't really utilize other than using it as a parking lot for the junk AMEX offers. Smilie
