These simple, yet effective push block grippers are on sale at Amazon (Through Peachtree, which is one of the better online outlets.) They may not be an expensive gripper (or joked about in WWFMM videos) but it's just a gripper. I'm sure I'll tweak them a bit, as I always tend to do. So, I figured, I'd let you all in on the deal if you want it.

I'm a woodworker, too, but you bet I'm always thinking safety. If you own a jointer or a router table, you need these.
(Or Gator Grip greps better and bigger?)
It comes with 3 more different push block at 4.36 more.

Micro Jig is better but might be outside of this price segment

The micro jig requires you to take the blade guard off; which I don't like to do, even though I have a sawstop.

These are foam pads with a grippy bottom. Mine have already torn off the grippy part. The micro jig ones are the best but I bet this new deal is just as good
But for through cuts on a table saw, only the microjig (or close facsimile) will control both pieces all the way through the cut preventing kickbacks and keeping your hand elevated above the blade.

I agree, but Im advising if you are to spend your money, get the micro-jig or similar. Buy once, cry once.
