I'll say it again even though I'll get thumbed down, but this will most likely be $50 in-store at Walmart. Might be a better option for those that shop at Walmart regularly and/or those that want to play the game on release day (shipping from Daily Steals takes a few days).

No, this is a complete new game from the previous game. The reason it's called "Superstars" is because they're bringing back the most popular boards and mini-games from Mario Party 1-3.

Or perhaps YMMV find a used one privately for a bit less as $45 or 40 if the seller badly wanted to get rid of it for whatever reason. it is not uncommon but worth taking chances. I personally did that just to cut my loss after making poor choices. Slickdeals doesn't help cope my loss.
It's a $1 saving for having to wait up to a week to get the game. Might not matter to some people. And if you are willing to wait, then this deal is still not a good deal because you can just wait 6+ months and probably pick this up on sale for $40.

Seems like Nintendo is finally giving the fans what they want. It seems a little low on board count but there's usually an unlockable Bowser themed board in every game and they haven't revealed what that is yet. 6 boards would still be a bit small but it's better than 4 boards which was the amount in the previous game.

Very true. One thing I will add is that the pacing of the game during player rotation better be quicker than the Super Mario Party. And absolutely no gimmicks as well.

That got me interested a bit. Older MP games were great. The most recent switch game was trash and I ignored this release 5hus far as a result.

The trailers have shown the characters moving way faster than in SMP. If anything the only gimmicks we will see will be the ones that came with the boards. I really hope we see some DLC with boards from the GC era as well!
