Thought someone looking for ThinkPad build quality might be interested. Creator oriented, not a gaming laptop.

Downside is 8 GB ram and 256 GB hard drive - upgrading on Lenovo is crazy expensive. Can't tell if it's one stick or two, but there are 2 RAM slots and two SSD slots.
Believe the X1 Extreme is the same chassis/build quality as the ThinkPad P1, the latter is business oriented, X1E is consumer oriented.
There is also a 3070 version, 15.6" 1080p 500 nits w/ 16GB ram and 512GB hard drive for $1679. Again not really a gaming machine.

And BTW you seemed to be confused about the Thinkpad lineup in your initial post because the second link is for a T15g, which has nothing to do with the X1 Extreme and is focused on an entirely different market.
